I just bought a 67 F100 that has accident damage on the right front corner. The impact went over the bumper so the frame is okay. All of the front sheet metal except the left fender is scrap.I have a grill and small parts and have a source for a fender.I know the rad support from a 73-79 is close enough to work as I've done that swap in the past.My question is can the inner fenders from a 73-79 be reworked to fit? I'm not out to have an absolutely correct restoration and other than a fellow Ford nut I suspect nobody will no the difference.
Yes, you can use the 73-79 inners. They are very close to the same measurements and have a little different shape but they work. You also have to have the 73-79 hinges because they bolt to the opposite side of the rib.
The LH 4x4 inner fender is a bit different for 73-79. Mounting is all the same, but it's cut out a little at the bottom to fit the power steering/power Assist setups on the 4x4s.
