My numbers were calculated, but by the gallons shown on the pump and the odometer. I never let my tank get below 1/4 so I don't know how far per tank.
HUH!?! If you know how many miles per gallon you average and you know how many gallons your truck holds...well....then you know how far you can (theoretically) drive on a tank of gas.
Greetings, I'm a first time poster and just recently purchased a 2003 F250 V10 CC 4WD. The tires are BFGoodrich 315's all terrain. At 60k miles, I average around 9mpg around town and sometimes see close to 11mpg on the highway. I assumed this was the standard mileage. I didn't buy for it's fuel economy, but it would be nice to see a little more. Is this about right?
Yes ----seems about right----- you probably have 3.73:1 rear gears and the taller tires make your cruise rpm a little low for best economy.... I think a 70~75 MPH cruise rpm around 2100~2250 is the best sweet spot.... I bet yours is closer to 1900~2000@ 70mph with those taller heavier tires
