Gauges

I was wondering if I am able to switch the gauges off a newer Bronco II to my 84. I am interested switching in a tachometer in place of my simple amp, fuel, temp light, oil light. Is this switch possible?

You'd have to take a look at the wiring diagrams and see if everything is the same as well as check your vehicle to see if the wiring is the same as the donor vehicle and that the wiring for the tach is present.

If you go to www.therangerstation.com, they have an article about switching the dash from an 89-94 (also from explorers and rangers) to an 83-89. Might be too much work, but it will get you the tach you want.

Which is the dash swap I'd love to do, eventually. Especially if I get the XLT/Eddie Bauer cluster with all 4 gauges, tach, and speedo.
