Got a '73 F100 2WD 302 C4 that seems to bang into reverse. Going into drive from park or neutral seem OK...Just into reverse makes a clunk, but functions fine once it's in there. Should I worry about this? Thanks.

Last time I bought a set they were about 8 bucks a piece but that was a long time ago,,lol Should be less then $20 for one.

I also never did it before and just got under there and started messing with it.
Start with the back/take out the bolts in the U bolts then pull the shaft out of the trany. Then you can take the hole thing out from under the truck and work on it.
