So my truck's swaybar is broken off. Is it ok to drive it like this till i get it fixed? I travel everyday to work at a speed of 85 will that cause any problems?
It will just have excessive body roll in the curves, just use common sense and you'll be ok. The truck will let you know if your takeing a turn to fast as does any vehicle.
Is it the front or rear? If its rear I wouldnt worry too much since alot of rangers came stock w/o them. My 94 splash has them however. If its the front, ya just plan ahead and take turns slow and you'll be fine. You may hear a popping when going over bumps or upon entering a turn. Its the broke ends hitting each other. So no cause for alarm since you already know whats wrong. BTW I'd be interested to know what it took to break it?
Measure the diameter of your current one and get a larger one if you can. It'll improve the feel of the truck alot over uneven terrain and thru turns. It'll minimize body roll when you dont want it! Try cruisin the boneyard for one off a 4x4! It should be thicker for the 4x4 reason alone.
The one I have on it now is pretty thick I think. My truck has the Off Road Package in it and is 4x4. But I may go look at the junkyard tonight and see what I can find. If I cant find anything its off to the Ford dealer!
Thats good to hear there tiggie! Might look one up around town here. BTW I saw what you did with adding your rear sway bar and it got me curious about what I had going on in my rear. Mine came stock with it!!! It may have to do with mine being an original Splash.

I don't even know for sure that it was a tow package truck. It was fleet for sure, no options or anything, plus it had stickers telling you how to properly load it and so on. IT just had some serious sway bars under it. I would have grabbed them, but the truck was (and is) sitting in the mud, no wheels. It was a 2WD truck.
I really believe the 2WD Splashes got the handling package or something. Rear sway bars are very rare on 2WD models from what I've seen.
if its just the end links that are broken, which is most common, you can get the energy suspension links for under $20 a pair. even at Autozone. Just take one of yours off, bring it in so they can match up the sleeve and bolt (pin) length.
