i was just reading in my fourwheelin magazine that in 2010 ford will have a 6.7 in-house engine i am excited already,
I thought the 6.7 was supposed to be the "Hurricane' ENG?
Now for all you 6.4L haters......show me pics of all the trucks that are failing.....I have yet to see any new '08's broken down on the side of the road, BUT i have seen a Dodge or two. I have only seen ONE post in the 6.4 forum about a truck that had a problem.......so where are the rest of these failing trucks?
to clear things up a bit in this months issue of fourwheeler magazine. it talks about how ford/navistar are in a lawsuit over warranties and that for is currently developing an in house 6.7l v-8 diesel for the 2010 superduty. not cummins, not international, all ford!
Is this eng(BOSS) going into production or is it gonna be a aftermarket eng available through Ford racing? I see they have the new Boss eng block.
The engine is for production. But I would assume Ford Racing would sell it in the aftermarket as well. Initally it will be used in the F-Series pickups. But it is also supposed to make it into the Expedition. They are supposed to be making performance versions for the Mustang as well as a shortened stroke version (5.8L) for the standard Mustang motor by 2009.
As for a Ford built diesel for 2010, its possible. But I would not expect it sooner. Alot will have to do with how well the F-150 diesel goes. I would expect the new Ford diesel to be a larger version of that. 6.7L???
