4x4 light Flashing
Here are the parts listed on my receipt:
1) Clutch assy
1) Chain
1) Disc
1) Gasket & seals
2) Sensors
1) Fluid
Parts: $2,034
Labor: $804.00
Total w/tax: $2,621.40 1yr/12K warranty for the rebuild.
They also cleared up my "service engine" light. They did tell me that they added a few more electrical parts, but did not charge me. I hope this was to replace a sensor.
The shop is registered with the BBB and is a A BBB Accredited business since 2/28/2001. The shop was clean, busy, and did not seem to be in the business of bending people over.
So far so good. I will come back and report if something goes wrong, otherwise, expect that all problems were fixed. I will also report back if my mpg does not return back to normal, 13 MPG.
I get $2,838.Regardless, how come the shop didn't install a new t-case which is around $1800?
You're right, but that was what I paid. They subtracted $403.00 (parts discount) and added tax of $126.00. I did ask them about replacing it a new/rebuilt transfer case and they said it would be several more hundred $$ to do that. I think it would be a good idea for anyone who is experiencing the same symptoms to check on prices for new/rebuilt transfer cases. I did not expect to need my transfer case rebuilt... I should have known better.
Just found this parts link, looks like they have good prices:

Anyone ever purchase from them?
