A lot of guys (like me) just shove the stock intake hose over the neck of the filter. It will fit, but it is tight. As a precaution, clean the intake tube around that area to remove any oil residue that might make it want to slip off. Also, trim the tab mentioned already, as well as a little of the alignment tab that the stock clamp has a slot for. If you do that, you can reuse the stock clamp. You can also rough up the filter neck a little to give it more bite. I didn't and haven't had it loosen up.
Having seen your pic several times, now, I've been curious about something, Izzy. You didn't leave the DuraLife sticker on after you finished the install, did you?
I'm sorry, Izzy... I guess the engineer part of me gets a little **** about these things sometimes. I know that it will make virtually no difference in air flow, except out at probably the 3rd or 4th decimal place. I removed mine just to remove the tniy bit of air flow restriction that it might cause, and stuck it back on the end of the filter under the filter cover I made.

LMAO..... Okay, I'm with you now. But now that I think about it, won't your cover add more restriction, too (even if it's the third or forth decimal place)....
I'll give him 2 points myself. I actually thought about that and almost said it myself, but I figured I'd just toss out the bait and see who caught it!
Good eye, Izzy!! And if you really want to take your point to my "****" level, my iron-on transfer image alone is larger than your sticker, and there's NO air passing through my image while SOME air goes around your sticker!!
I'm off to the rack. Had too much fun out on Panama City Beach over the weekend and my last post in another thread wore me out. Cranking down the AC to cool off my sunburn...
