help! snapped bolt on water pump

I was adding a pulley system to front end of 302....one of the water pump bolts snapped right at or near block. I have to pull harmonic dampener and timing cover off but cant seem to be able to get hd off. Cant see inside at nut...which way do i turn to get off? counterclockwise or clockwise.

thanks!

Remove the crank pully from the balancer and then use a 15/16 socket on the crnk bolt, turn it counter clock wise..CCW just like any bolt....then go rent a Harmonic balancer puller from the parts store. AZ has them I'm sure. I weld a nut on whats left of the bolt and then use a wrench and turn it out. The heat seems to loosen them up nice. It must have been one of those long ones that go all the way thru the water pump and timing cover. I got some pics someqwhere of one that broke on the hemieater...I'll post them if I can find them....

Made a folder on my server with the pics in it. I didn't use a nut on this one I just welded a glob of weld on the end of what was left.....way better then an easyout....
