Talking camshaft

Gotta get a new block since the old one broke. I got a 1996 F250 with a 351w. I use the truck as a daily driver and do some mediam hauling with it. Skid steer and livestock here and there. I wanted to just go stock for the most part on a rebuilt engine. But I thought I should at a minimum upgrade the cam. What do you guys think? Got any suggestions for me?

Something in the RV catagory will work best for your application. I am a big fan of CompCams myself.

Leave the cam alone, it's already got an "RV" grind in it. Just add 1.7 roller rockers to it. Specs are 256/266 duration and .422/.445 lift with the rockers it has now.

Oh, I didn't know that it had the rv cam in it already. I wonder if the new engine will have the rv cam in it.

If it don't it could play hell with the computer if it's speed density. Otherwise it's going to be sorely lacking power that the old engine had.

best bang for the buck in my book is to open those exhaust ports. They are too small for a 302 and ford put the same head on a 351 it just don't make sense.....

any of you guys ever look at a 350 ch$%y head, believe it or not they have awesome ports..........

Yeah it's terrible. And the new LS1/LS2 heads flow much better than those!!!
