I'm not really sure what Kris is planning at this point, but I will help where I can. I'm not sure he fully appreciates the distances involved. He is not stupid though so he will figure it out.
Well glad to hear the good news! Are you having anyone go with you? You will definately have a good time down there in Lead Hill. Drive safe and let us know how things are going.
Came along late to this thread after being away, but just have to say how impressed I am with everyone here... truly amazing to see such displays of character. Really an incredible group we have here.
Glad you can make the trip, Kris. Just stay safe and take your time, and call to check in now and then if that's what your parents ask for.
Even if they don't ask for you to call OFTEN, just do it. Mom won't feel like you're so far away, and won't be constantly worrying.
When you are going to be really involved in something, like watching the transformation of your trans, tell her in advance, "I'm here, but I'm not gonna' call for the next seven hours, as I'll be intensely watching what's going on for that long" (or something like that), and then call her to share the good news about your new trans, immediately afterward.
The more mom hears your voice, the more at ease she's going to be. And THAT'S what YOU want, for her to learn that she can "lengthen the leash" without worry!
Oh yea, one more thing, Don't forget to leave that WRITTEN itinerary with her, the one with names, addresses, dates, times, telephone numbers, etc! It's just so she knows she COULD call you if she needed to.
