I got one laying on the garage floor. Want to give me that money? No, then do the kwik mod, aka 6637 napa gold filter. Ive put 100k miles on mine before changing. I drilled the end and put in my breather sensor dealebobber.
Well judgeing that the Airaid intake was just released.....I think he must either sell them or he doesnt really have one. Ok....its design is based on the AFE stage II and according to the people who have the AFE..Its worth the money and then some but thats if you are into a easy to do install. That 6637 Filter will have you running around town trying to get all the pieaces....unless you order a over priced "do-it-yourself" kit. Basically Airaide makes excellent products so I know that intake is functional and well built. If you can justify spending that money than the Airaid is a good chioce and it will definately supply our air hungry turbos with plenty of air.
All I can give you is advice.....I can bet almost anyting that another person is gonna tell you to do the 6637 filter mod and the some one will say the AIS filter...Both are great Ideas but its ultimatly up to what you want.....and the looks you are going for. That new Airaide is pretty sweet looking with that giant filter and the 6 inch inlet is a plus. Good luck!
AIS or 6637. Haha i had to do it....Seriously though when I first bought the truck it had a k&n and look in my signature at what happens when too much dust gets through. Now im running the 6637, must better.

How was the air raid just released? Mine is a 00 model I have the 6637 but if you can afford it go with the AFE, Ive hear good things, just dont have the money myself. My air-raid is the replacement box with a round rice rocket looking filter that you oil just like the other guys. Unless there is a newer version I appoligize.
Oh yeah the running around town for pieces, 3 inch piece of pipe, home depo or lowes sewer or water line and hose clamps from original airbox end. www.fleetfilters.com for filter.
OH sorry.... I forgot that Airaid had that model you speak off.........yeah they got a new one that is a big heatshield/battery tray just like the AFE stage II but the Airaid has a 6" inlet pipe with a built in velocity stack. My apologies I should have asked you first.....but yeah they just released this new intake last month.

I was just kidding about running around town....but seriously I live 15 miles from the local hardware store and 80 miles from the closest thing related to a lowes.
