'06 & '07 6.0 Problems?

Help me out here. I am waffling between a new '08 6.4 F350 and a new '07 6.0 F350 for much less money. The problems of the early 6.0's have been discussed at length. Have those problems continued into the later model years? How many of you '06 & '07 6.0 current owners or former owners have had any significant problems with your 6.0 or know for a fact of someone who has had problems with theirs?

I havnt hardly heard of anyone having problems with 06 and 07s, and there havnt hardly been any on this forum. I would jump on one, there pretty bullet proof if you keep up on your maintinence. I would definatly get one over a new 6.4.

only problem so far with my 2006 was an oil leak at the oil cooler, warranty covered it, i have 41000k on it and it still has all the power like the day it was new, plus i am a maitenance freak when it come to this truck, because i hope to see 250,000-300,000+ miles out of this 6.0.

As I've always said "Avoid any first year new vehicle design as I don't want to be the tester for the company". I've always done this and it has proven true. First year engines, vehicles, farm equipment. First year out they all have problems of some sort.

BB, I've got 25,000 miles on an 06 that I pull a heavy load (see avatar) and the truck has never been back to the dealer for a repair. IMO the bugs are worked out of the 06 & 07's. Keep in mind that a lot of the issues with the 03 & 04's were directly related to very poor training from Ford in combination with exceedingly bleak technical support from Navistar/International. I had an early 03 that was a great truck except for the first 45 days. Good luck

Have 11k on my 06 and it has been an awesome truck. My uncle has 51k on his 06 with no problems. Guy i worked for has 2 06's and they both have 50k and have been great. You cant go wrong choosing the 07 6.0l over the 6.4L. Just my imput.

I'm in the market for an 07 F350. Glad to hear the bugs have been worked out for the most part.
