I was given some purple habaneros, [QUOTE]
My uncle in phoenix AZ grows them and sends me a batch every year, They make the best salsa. But be careful they are really hot.
That's kinda weird... your the fist person I've known (out-side the family) to talk about them, I thought it was our secret......
Just drive alongside the railroad track.......hard to beat free
Found free RR ties on Craigslist yesterday, drove out to check them out, and it was all shredded scrap. Very disappointing, especially since it took me an hour to drive back (took the streets, as the freeway would've taken double that).
I used to get a sauce called endorphine rush. That stuff is no joke! The disclaimer on the bottle has a warning not to get it on sensitive parts of skin. One night we dipped a toothpick in it and put it on my drunken passed out buddies mouth, needless to say he got up wanting to fight everyone but not until he got his tongue out from under the spigot. Another buddy wanted to sue me over it.
It comes packaged like a vile of blood. I promise to God, I have never had anything this flaming hot in my life. One drop on my plate (and I barely touched it with my finger when I tasted it) sent me through the roof and the burn did not subside until about an hour later. It ruined my tastebuds for the rest of the day.
I have a bottle of Satan's Blood Bronco, lol and you're right, it's mean. I also have another called Dragon's blood, it's in a little alchemists bottle with a wax band to seal the cork. Very hot, but kinda tasty. My favorite though is one that isn't as hot, but has lot's of flavor, it's called Bill Bushka's Pukka Pukka sauce.
This was THE hottest sauce I have ever EVER tasted is called Satan's Blood. It's a pepper extract. I guess sauces are rated by the scoville units.
