What I am wondering is I have some codes three of them right now. They are P0475, P1211, P0113. I see that one of them is the ICP not controllable - pressure above desired. At least thats what I am getting outta the superchip programmer I still have. The P0475 I understand to be something like exhaust pressure control valve error. When I had the truck at BTS last year they ( Cale ) said my hpop was starting to go south. Would that contribute to the ICP code, and if so would it be wise to just go ahead and get the hpop? Right now I am 1000 miles from home in Texas and am going to go to California next month, with trailer in tow. I just really dont want to get standed in the middle of nowhere. Truck is a '00 with Cales chip in it, hpx, and of course the BTS Tranny.
What chip settings are you in when you throw the code? My HPOP on my truck is pretty weak, but it will not set the 1211 code in the 40hp tow setting. All other settings will trigger it. Try a lower hp tune if you haven't already and see if it still pops up.
With the chip the PCM is calling for more oil than the HPOP can provide If Cale said it is going south either go ahead and swap it or just wait for it to die. Depending on the tune a new stock HPOP may not be able to keep up.
Well I havent tried to use a different tune. Right now I am happily riding around with the 120 tune. I will reset the codes and try it tomorrow. Towing the trailer I was using the 80 tow, and sometimes the 60 tow. It would set a code but I forgot to write them down. If I was to change out the HPOP should I just get one from FORD or do the sponsors sell them. With the possibilty of even a new one not being able to keep up should I just get a Terminator, or BTS dual system. Eventually I would like to put on a new bigger turbo and some injectors. Also with a dual pump setup I would need to get the chip reburned correct.
Well I changed the tune to 80 econo and got the same code. Drove home on 60 tow and no codes. Cale told me today that I should just get a single new pump, and then if I wanted to later on get a dual setup. I guess for now I will just get a single new hpop.
One more thing how hard of a job would you guys say it is? I looked and it almost looks like I need to remove the factory fuel filer housing and such. Will try to do a search for r+r. Thanks fellas.
A new single HPOP can still set the 1211 code. Some HPOP's are stronger than others fresh out of the box, so don't be surprised if you still trigger the check engine light on higher hp tunes.
