[updated:LAST EDITED ON 05-Jun-02 AT 10:49 PM (EST)] My check engine light came on this past weekend and I got these codes from Auto Zone. P0401 and P1400. I have a '96 Bronco with the 5.8 engine. I am hoping for suggestions to solve the problem(s). By the way, Auto Zone will check for the codes for free.
Those are egr codes. The dpfe sensor goes bad a lot. Check the voltage output of the sensor, should be about .5. Put a vacumn gauge in line with the egr and make sure it moves during self test. 1-3 inches of vacumn. Norm
