Solving Check Engine Light codes

My check engine light came on this past weekend and I got these codes from Auto Zone. P0401 and P1400. I have a '96 Bronco with the 5.8 engine. I am hoping for suggestions to solve the problem(s). By the way, Auto Zone will check for the codes for free.

Solving Check Engine Light codes
Those are egr codes. The dpfe sensor goes bad a lot. Check the voltage output of the sensor, should be about .5. Put a vacumn gauge in line with the egr and make sure it moves during self test. 1-3 inches of vacumn. Norm
