Anyone have any experience with these, found one on JC whitley, that claims will help sag. adds another 2500lbs without effecting ride.. still looking for a solution after installing leveling kit to help w the sag.
Ordered my Helper Springs yesterday. I tow a fifth wheel and when I picked it up, the truck had not 'worked' yet so it sat nice and high even with the 800# pin weight. Now that it worked to get our landscaping all done (top soil, 3/4 clean, trees, clay (out), lumber, sod... it now sits a little too low for my licking... so I hope these will do the trick
My problem is that I can't easily install the air bags... I have a fifth wheel hitch which mean my frame is already 'cluttered' with brakets... So instead of getting myself into a difficult install or heavy mods, I opted for this 'easy' install with the helper springs.

What do you haul/tow with yours?
Yeah that would be a pain I would imagine. I tow a 16' trailer back and forth to our place in the country. About a 600 miles round-trip. Not loaded down very often, usually a 4-wheeler and building materials.
Once I have installed the helper springs, I will
1-share the 'installation experience
2-share the 'hauling' experience (have to bring 30''X48'' concrete tiles 30 miles out of town)
3-share my towing experience (about 5500-5800# loaded with 800# pin weight
Stay tuned... ((still snow on the ground so it will be in about 4-6 weeks... ))
Well... I haven't hauled or towed anything yet but I did install the helper springs today.
Overall, very easy install. Took me 1 hour and 45 minutes with regular handtools. Actually, the kit comes with two different size U-bolts and nuts. You need a 3/4 inch and a 7/8 inch wrench. I only had the 3/4 for the ratchet so I had to use a regular wrench for the 7/8. Still very easy.
Just need to figure out where the U-bolts will end-up so it is not obstructing any other leaf assembly parts.
I took it for a ride and it does ride a little more 'hard' than before but still confortable.
Stay tuned for the hauling and towing experience later...
