okay i pulled all my intercooler boots again, cleaned real real good and put them back on. still no help. ive ruled out the warm weather theory because its 38 degrees outside right now and im running 800 degrees at 65 mph. when i come to a hill it climbs to 1000. there is no effect on performance. ebpv working correctly. i honestly dont know were to go from here. also the EGTs are the same on every tune, and im throwin no codes. please help!!
i pulled and cleaned the orange boots as well, just ran out and looked to see no soot on the fire wall. were u maybe thinking loose up pipe clamp? i checked that today as well and its good. today after i cleaned everything up i took it out for a drive and it seemed back to its old self then when i turned around to head back to the house it went right back to high egts. i did get rid of that howl sound i was talking about earlier.
Manifold to uppipe connection? its either intake restriction, exhaust restriction, or injector dumping fuel.
Intake - seem to have covered this. What about the compressor housing seal, need to pressurize the intake.
Exhaust - doubtful with a 5" unless a small animal made a home
Injector - not with the truck running fine

Hmm, maybe a faulty pyrometer? Or a turbo going bad, would that cause it? Did you do a cyclinder contribution test? From my other non diesel experience I would think the pyrometer, I don't know the failure rate on them but it is just a solid thermistor and I know they degrade over time. How old is it? Maybe your cylinder are getting hotter due to lack of cooling oil. What do the panel of experts say?
i thought about the compressor housing seal too. whats an easy way to pressuize the system and check? my pyro is 4 months old so im pretty sure its not that.
