With the warm weather today, I was able to sneak out and install the front shocks to complete the installation of the entire set. The OE shocks were pretty rusted up and very "mushy", but showed no signs of leaking. The corrosion on the bolts was horrible (the road salt here is bad) and in fact the top nuts would barely turn and eventually just sheared off the top shock post which simplified removal. The Bilsteins fit up perfectly.
Thanks to RangerPilot Zach for the instructions in the tech info section (they were a big help) and thanks to Bob Ayers for coaxing me to splurge on the Bilsteins. The test drive was a tremendous improvement....I was actually looking for potholes to take on!!!

I used Zach's instructions to do all 4 of mine. Glad to hear only the top stud on the shock sheared off on the front. Mine were so rusted the bottom stud on the left side mount is what sheared off. We ended up having to punch it out and put in the bolt in repair stud. The threads are now undercoated to try to keep the moisture away since they salt the crap out of the roads here in Ohio even when we get an inch.
