Axle Swap
Does anyone know what years are the straight axle from a f350 the same bolt up pattern as a 85 f250?

Up to and including 1997. They started mid-year 1986. Expect to pay about $1000 for a solid D60 in that range.

It depends a lot on what truck you have now. I'd suggest starting your own thread vs. hijacking this one...

So for those years everything should "bolt up" to a 1985 f250 LD w/dana 44?

No - the 98 F-250's are completely different from the 97's.

Yeah that was the year. It had the oddball 7-lug semi floating rear axle and I think was only available in 2wd.
Not much of a 3/4 ton truck, if you ask me.

Will that opens a world of opportunities for my truck. Its way to hard to find a 85 F350 4x4 to use as a donor truck. Thanks for your info.
