Tranny shifting smoother?

Thats good....that means the shift comp figured out the shift strategy. My 2005 Mustang GT did the exact same thing until the comp figured the shift strategy and then it was smooth shifts all the time. Heh when I first drove the stang of the lot I though the rough shift were cool considering when ever it shifted if felt like it had alot more power than advertised. Glad your enjoying your new truck

I hope it does smooth out with time. I test drove a 6.4L a few days ago, and the transmission seemed to hunt around for the correct gear and then shift pretty harshly. It wasn't that bad, but then I compared it to a LBZ/Allison truck about 20 minutes later and the Allison was much smoother.
Both trucks were new, but I don't remember the mileage on either one of them.

It takes about 500 miles of combined city/HWY driving before the trans figures out the shift pattern, I dont know much about the new trans in the '08s other than its made to handle about 700ft#'s of torque now.
