Jeff, Thats cool that you finally had some decent weather and could tackle some stuff on the truck.

I made good progress, none of it on my truck though. I spent the little bit of free time I had wrenching on the wife's new car (65 Falcon) The valve cover gasket was leaking so I replaced that and cleaned the engine compartment, Installed the door sills, polished the bumpers, installed the spring on the door hinge. Sunday was our anniversary and her birthday so I had to do the obligatory family stuff.

All in all, a great weekend!
Bobby

Bobby, glad to hear you're making progress on the Falcon, That'll be one sweet ride when it's done.

I know what you mean about the family stuff, had to miss Sat. night chat to take the little lady out to dinner. Oh Well, when Momma's happy, we are too!

Jeff,

Oh yea! and I'm on a roll. Since I brought the little Falcon home she's been tickled pink and driving the wheels off of it. I'm going to ride this wave for as long as I can...

well i shot one coat of paint on the inside of the cab and firewall yesterday. looks pretty good exept when my el chepo gun when phyco and doubled its output all of a sudden and the paint ran. all of the runs are on the inside where it will be covered up with headliner or gas tank. ill probaly still sand um out just because i can.

Got the drivers side fenderwell headers mocked up while my son shaved the door handles off a frieinds mini truck. Boy it takes a long time to cut, fit, grind, fit, grind fit........tack weld. I certainly wouldn't make any money doing this for a living.

I'd thought I'd join in since I haven't got to work on the truck in over a month. I am almost 3 years into this rebuild, and am reading the FTE boards to stay motivated and stay focused.

I replaced the last bit of sheet metal needing attention, the passenger floorboard! I now have replaced both cab corners, and both floorboards. I only had pinholes in these locations, but felt better about replacing it all.

Now I'm off to paint and body!
