Time for a new engine

I have a 1983 F150 4x4 with a inline 6 cyl engine and manual trans. It has recently started getting water in the engine but still runs good. This gives me a good excuse to put in a bigger engine. This will be my first engine swap in a truck so I would like to keep away from a lot of custom fab work. What is a good engine to replace this one with? Thank you
