i have a 06 F-150 4x4 with blown engine, timing problem caused too much engine damage, engine has to be pulled, my question is

can i replace it with the factory supercharged 5.4l engine out of a harley davidson edition (does it matter if its out of a 2 wheel drive), and if so what do i need to make sure i get with that engine, like computer etc. and what years can the engine be from, thanks.

I am pretty sure Ford changed PCMs (to the more advanced, current EEC-VI generation) and the electrical plugs when they introduced the 3V motor, so the older supercharged 2V motor will not plug up. Anything is possible with money, but I don't think it would be an easy swap.

 

the 06 has the 3v motor already. I am talkign about finding a supercharged one out of a 06-08 harley davidson which should also be a 3v engine? no?

 

Sorry about that, my apologies. I thought you were referring to the 97-02 body style Harley-Davidson trucks which had the supercharged 2V 5.4.

You should have no problem swapping the 06-08 H-D truck's motor into your truck.
