What is better for towing,Propane or Water/Methanol Injection? I pull a 30' toy hauler and want to add some extra horse power without making my EGTS go up anymore. I just recently installed the 6.0 spearco I/C and I could use my dp chip at 80 econo without making my egts go over 1250. Do any of the 2 damage the motor as I have 250K miles and dont want to shorten its life.

 

What year truck? If its a 01 or later then you have PM rods and I really dont like drugs and PMR's... Propane is good for a mild HP increase but people get greedy...

I love my water injection, ya couldnt drag it away from me.

 

You could run both as well, water/methanol is good because it decreases your EGT's, propane will make your diesel burn better as well as give you longer distance between fillups. They both give you a HP increase. If you run both keep in mind that you just use straight water with no methanol. This is the setup that i am planning to do.

 

LIKE CSI has stated before, you shouldnt mix drugs, especially with PM rods,
for cooling purposes, water/meth would be great, on a stock or low HP tune.
and as i read it in a diesel power mag a few months back, propane makes high temps with more power better mileage and zero cooling effect is what i got from the article

drugs can be good when taken in moderation,
just dont OD.

like the snow water/meth injection or the cooling mist kit.
stage 1 under 25 psi can make up to 35 additional hp. with a 200 deg. drop in egt.
combined with dps 40 tow tune, i believe would be a really safe drug.
this is the route i want to go .
