short tandem axle trailer
Is there a point where a tandem axle trailer can be too short? Would 12' be the limit? I thinking that any shorter that the trailer may whip more that a longer trailer.

Tandems, in my experience pull better than single-axle trailers. For them to turn, the tires have to scrub a little, so they're more likely to track straight (provided they track straight in the first place).

As in any trailer, how you load it, depends on if it will whip or not. Bigtex trailers make a 10' tandem. Always remember, keep the trailer level when fully loaded. If it dips to the front, adjust the drop/lift in your reciever. same goes for the rear being lower as this is when you most likly to "whip".
