66 CJ Mustang... Hmm that must have been an interesting experience. How the heck did you fit it in there? Sorry off topic, but saw the list of cars 07F1504x4.
On topic, I'm sure we'll be getting power increases on what ever the engines are. Expect at least one, what ever it ends up being to have outputs above what the new Tunda 5.7 has (381 or something like that, I think) Odd looking thing too....
Diesel, would be good. Hopefully with a better reliability then the 6.0 PSD. But remember diesel power comes at a price. Both the option package and then the higher maintenance costs. Something many first time diesel buyers, who buy just to have one, aren't aware of.
What direction do you think the suspension will go? I'd like to see a return to front shocks and springs vs the strut/spring combination we've got now.
I'd like to see a 400HP/500TQ 6.8L V10 mated to a strong 5-speed and put in the F-150...that would shut everybody up. Plus, all they would have to do is tweak their current engine & 5R110.
Then again, I think they should bring the Pinto back.
I dont think the 5.4 needs to be upgraded, it seems like they're alreay asking alot from it. my 5.8 only makes 210 hp 325 lb-ft and im happy. but I think the diesel will be real sweet. cant wait
and if I had it my way it would be all leaf springs and solid axles. guess thats why i have a 250

your crazy lol, but i gussing your probly a true 4x4 guy.
id like to see maby a little more hp/tourq and then that thing that chevy has were it cuts off the fuel for 4 cylinders while just cruiseing. and possible alumminum block.
yeah, no leaf springs all the way around.....get a 3/4 ton if you want that....i like the nice ride of my F150 just looking for a motor options with 400 hp and a diesel with close to 500 ft lbs...that would be cool...also keep the 5.4 as a base engin...
no leaf springs?! what are you gonna use a truck for, i know its only 1/2 ton but come on...get a ridgeline! i've seen 1/2 tons loaded to the hilt with about anything, and IRS would just buckle, squat out, and become worthless suspension. now on the other hand, a new ranchero with IRS, that would be great, as long as it resembles the '72!

don't ever mention the word ridgeline in a truck conversation ever again....
yeah man...no leaf springs...leaf springs are not necessary in the front of a F150....you can put plenty of weight in the bed of these trucks as is and tow more than you need to also so their is no reaso to put leaf springs on the front and bounce down the road.....if you need all of that then get a Super Duty....not that big of a deal...then you can have a blas with the leaf springs...
i would agree no IRS.....buf IFS is just fine....i don't thin you'll see the F150 with IRS ever.....
i took your post as wanting IRS. they will never go back to leafs on the front. the SD's are back to coil sprung front ends similar to the '78-'79 years setup. now that setup i would like to see on the f150, IFS is fine, even though i think its weak and complicated compared to modern radius arms.
as far as the R word, i was being sarcastic!
i love my twin tracton beam IFS on mine it rides nice. they need to bring back the dana 44 TTB. but yeah they need the 5.4 to get 350 hp and lest 425 tq and the new 6.2 at lest 400 hp and 500 tq and bring back the 300 staight 6

Here's a pic of Ford's Australian version of a Ranchero, called the Falcon. Looks good to me, why doesn't Ford sell it here? I could picture a Roush version of this thing, talk about a tire fryer!!
