i would still like to see that 6.2L in a new lightning or a new harley, so it can beat the srt-10,
That isn't very likely to happen. Even with a 425 HP engine, the F150 is STILL 500 lbs heavier than the Dodge. On top of that, the Dodge has more torque, HP, and cylenders.....
BUT, that would make an awesome motor for a half ton.....
sorry i didn't specify, i meant have it a DOHC 6.2L (3v or maybe even 4v) or even throw a supercharger on it to bump up the power, i think the OHC is supposed to make 425 so the DOHC would make more correct me if im wrong, i know the f-150 is heavy it would need over 500hp to beat the srt-10, saleen made one with 450hp and it does 0-60 in like 5.7 seconds, so they need a lot more power and the 6.2L would be good to build on from there, V-10s are cool but their mpg is a betch thats another reason if a new lightning could be better would be in its mpg, i heard some where that the srt-10 got like 8 miles to the gallon, if thats true then why buy it, get a used lightning and get a better pulley and you'll be up there with the srt

2009 f150 will be on the ground in the 4th quarter of 2008. the new f150 will be lighter yet still have a rigid frame and comfy ride.
I really want Ford to offer a six speed manual if that is possible, and with the big engine, because if they offered a manual with the 4.6 or 5.4 i would have bought it.
