Strobe Flasher kit

Which is the best strobe flasher kit to use?

The "cop" stuff (if legal in NC) is made by Whelan. You can buy it online at several places; $250 for a good power pack, $50 per flash tube.

Yep, they are driving the LEO bus right now. Other vendors are Code 3, Federal and Tomar- but W is the big dog.

That's an understatement. Whelen is more like the 800 pound gorilla in the strobe market.

Excellent quality. Pricey, but excellent.

Be sure to check out the Whelan LED (in tail light) offerings too; cool stuff and uses very little power.

I have to voice my props for Tomar .. all of our new units (EMS) are now ALL Tomar LED and they are BRIGHT !!!!! .. now you will pay more for LED .. but have a LOT less amp draw and they can be seen a long way off ..

I just installed the "hide-aways" or "corner strobes" in my F-350 about a week ago. I bought a 90W power pack with 4 90W strobes. They really pierce the sky around the truck! I bought mine because I'm a landscaper and they're nice to have when parked on the side of the road, as well as plowing parking lots and driveways. I also have an LED lightbar on both my trucks. If you hit me because you can't see me, then thats your problem. The hide-aways are illegal, but if you use them on private property, like a parking lot, or if your parked on the side of the road cops don't care.
