getting a 68 highboy in the next few months. no motor or tranny, but its gona run me 400$, its from arizona, and has no rust.the 75 will be done soon, had to line something else up for later.
o the budget is far from unlimited. the 75 has been about 4 years in the making. it still needs painted, but ill be able to drive the sob soon. all i have to do is put a door on and bolt the bed down. just waiting on the weather to break.
Didn't mean your budget was.
Just saying.... The things you could do... with an unlimmited budget. You could actually get it done and have fun with it instead of working on it the whole time(which is part of the fun, but nothing like actualy using it).
i hear that man, i'd love to have a nice budget at the moment. the 75 is almost ready for use. as soon as the tax return gets here i was going to get a set of 38 sum inch boggers or hawgs. leaning more to the hawgs because of the longevity. i had 5000 in the bank, but i ended up using that to pay my closing costs on my house. priorities
I own a set of boggers and they make they groundhawgs seem like a street tread tire. My best friend had a brand new set of hawgs on a toyota with a 350 and the boggers would usually end up pulling him to the other side where I was almost everytime. I also had a 67 with 12 inches of lift and 39.5 swampers. You couldn't kill the 352 that was in it. What does the 68 you are getting have in it?
Hawgs last a while most say, but the darn things dont size up to what they claim. From what people say, they are a normal size down. 38s are 35", 40's are almost 38's, 44's are 41... Thats what a few that have had them have reported anyway. And as for Boggers, be careful of the 15x38.5x16s, they seem to be unique with a softer rubber, and little sypes, and i found them to be fairly weak. Just my opinion.
Should be a really cool truck though.

the 68 doesnt have anything in it. just a roller. i have a couple motors sitting here, so ill just throw something i have in it. fe of course. i started the 75 with good mechanicals, and a bad body. ill be going the other way this time. hm, hawgs looks pretty darn aggressive. idk, maybe i will rethink this
The 68 are a tank can't hurt them. I have a 68 also, been working on it for 5 years.
Just make sure you put a 390 in it. The 360 is kind of a dog in all that iron. My dad put 390 in mine big diffrence. Are you going to leave it all manuel? Mine is all manuel
and wouldn't have it any other way. Good luck with the classic.
