go down to your local Peterbilt truck dealer and see what they have in stock. might be cheaper and you will have it tomaro.
On my truck, I split the exhuast where the kitty was. then ran pipes back to each side of the bed. I have a custom built mounts that are sort of like stove pipe adapters the go through a roof. they are bolted to the bed. The pipes under the truck just stick up in the stacks themselves so rain water will drip to the ground. The only time i get smoke out the bottom is when it is cold and i first start it.
I still have all the room between the stack to mount a short tool box against the front of the bed.
I will try and post some pictures tomaro.

hey there, on the stacks vs side, GO WITH STACKS!!! IMHO, i would rather have chrome because stainless will turn a light golden color when heated to exhaust temps, I know my chrome stacks turn blue at the tips and i run an open exhaust. they get really hot, just something to think about.
i have stacks on my flatbed with a 351W and they have yet to change there chrome i dont know how hot they get but my friend hit it afther 45mins of putting through a field getting hay and it pealed the skin of his arm and stuck to the stack.
Nope, gassers run HOT! someone installed an egt gauge on a gasser a while back and said it just pegs the 1600* gauge under any load. Something to do with the lower compression and the spark plugs.
My stacks never get "that" hot. Mine are hard mounted to the bed, The pipes under the truck are not directly connected to the ones in the bed, they basicly stick up into the pipes. To give you an idea, its like sticking a toothpick up into a straw, there is space to draw in cool air as the exhuast rises up into the stacks.
I have a pic of them on here its not real great but you get the idea. i was told of i run them like that i can get it louder but i dont want to pay to redo it.
If I ever get a round to it I am going to make flame throwing exhast. this summer I plan to be puting in a 6V91T w/9spd when the back yard dries up. planning on giving the dodge boys a real run for there money i wont put her up against and fords i dont ant to humiliate any friends.
