Should not be in Overdrive when hauling a 8000lb enclosed trailer with my 2002 F350 SD?

Should not be a problem towing 8000lbs and leaving the 4R100 tranny in O/D.

The only times it might be a concern...is if you are driving in the city or mountain passes. Could just turn it off...so the tranny is not shifting in and out of O/D all the time.

I pull a 16,000 lb 5er in overdrive on flat highway. Just listen to see if it's jumping gears a lot...
