Here it goes, I am looking to run 35x12.50. I am on a budget so money is the key. I have a 02 f250 4x4 CC. I won't use my diesel for any major off roading. I do tow a fair amount so I need to take that in to account. I am looking at the 4" and 6" lifts from all three manufactures. I would like to know your opinions on the pro comp, superlift and rough country supension lifts. Thanks
My 06 has a Fabtech lift in it which is a 6 inch Suspension lift running 37 inch tires and I love it. Fabtech makes good lifts, Superlift, Donahoe, and a few others. Check out my gallery for my truck you can see what it looks like with a 6" lift with 37" toyo Open country's on it. I got no complaints on this what so ever.
I have a 6" tuff country lift...it was pretty cheap. You can also get a revtech lift..... they are reasonably priced. I would go with a 6" lift though...
I have a 6.5 Procomp all spring lift. I like it and wouldn't go back to stock. The ride is the same as stock from what I have experiniced. Pics are in my gallery. I went to 4wheel parts and dealed them down to a package deal including shocks. Got the mx6 adjustables, which I think made for a better ride. I'm running Nitto terra grapperlers 37x14x18. They are very good tire forthe street and some offroad. Have about 25,000 mile on them now and the shop says I have about half tread left.
They will look alright but they won't fill in the wheel well as much. This look will depend on you. I don't like a ton of open wheel well, for me it's the whole package. It needs to look right.
I have a 99 F-350 4x4 with a 4 in lift, and my 34+inch tires (315/75R16) fit just right. I bought the truck used with the lift on it - looks like Fabtec stuff under there - it still rides like most front Leaf sprung solid axle SD's - rough! I also put Rancho 9000 adjustable shocks on it, which helped some.
Due to loading a big Camper on the back, I'm switching to 325/65R18's - ProComp Xtreme AT's (they are running a buy 3 - get 4th free during March). These tires are right at 35in diameter and will handle the camper load better!
I put Bushwacker flares on the fenders, which really helped that 'big truck' look with the lift and larger tires!
I like your truck. I just had the 6" ProComp installed today on my truck. I am worried it is too tall. Maybe I need to get used to the change. However, atleast my Nitto's no longer rub when turning!
Of the three lifts you listed in the original post I would replace Super Lift with Sky Jacker. I have a 4" Super Lift on my 2000 F250 (pics in gallery). I went with 4" to avoid having to get longer drive shafts and having to go with a longer pitman arm. Also there is huge price difference between 35s and 37s. 35s fill up the wheel well really nice with a 4" lift. I think 35s are too small with 6" of lift. 4" is probably the cheapest way to go.
