okay I found out the RSK can be done with a F-250 you just need to get the taller pivot brackets but you probably should not use the superduty springs because the f-250 spring are actually thicker than even the same year f-350 spring since they have to withstand the twisting of the axle along with the normal compression of the suspension.
The rsk is a shackle reverse kit. the front springs on our truck has the shackle on the front of the spring which is the opposite way it should be for a smooth ride. the natural movemnt of the spring when hitting a bump should move rearward but with the shackle on the front the movement is all wrong. so the shackle reverse kit comes with a fixed bracket for he front of the spring mount and then moves the shackle to the rear to be attached to the existing spring bracket in the rear right by the cab mount.
its best to do the superduty springs but that does require a lil extra work. you have to reloacte the shackle mounts back a couple of inches to make up for the longer leaf packs.
i am debating b/t RSK/SD springs or just bags and 4-links!
where's info on the dana 60 conversion for us ttb guys. and to keep the ttb with the sky rsk you just need some kind of drop brackets. pics of these? where to find?
dana 60 conversion is easy. 1)remove all ttb stuff. 2)Install dana 60. 3) install trac bar bracket and trac bar, holes are already there. May have to tweek brake lines a little. Mine was pretty much as easy as stated, but I'm sure I forgot something and someone will hopefully remind me.
so for the conversion there is no fabbing, cutting, welding, etc. sounds too easy. a few years ago before i owned my truck a buddy had the same one and said there was more involved, or so he heard
I don't know a lot about suspension components, but it sounds like you have to get a 4" pitman arm drop and longer shocks. The original brake lines will work.
So about $500 for the RSK kit, and $80 or so for the two front shocks and Im not sure about the pitman arm.
if you do the RSK with the stock F-250 dana 50 axle then you need to get the drop pivot brackets that will also lower the mounting point of the pivot of the axle. thereby raising the truck when used with a lift kit or RSK. longer shock probably too. the best people to ask about the RSK is the manufacturer. But as far as I know thats what need to be done to do the RSK on a stock axled F-250
