Trans temp gauge
Pull the pan and drill a hole for the sender. At the same time, if you don't have one, drill a hole for and install a drain plug.
Gauges are tough placement items in a Bronco due to the cluttered, curved dash area. My '82 has a glove holder opening on the right of the steering column where I mounted engine oil/temp/trans temp gauges. I cut out the back of the glove holder and ran the lines/wires through there and then out through the firewall and to their respective destinations.
Not show quality with the retro-plastic dash area, but I can see them out of the bottom corner of my right eye vision. Somebody will eventually make a bunch of money by offering an aftermarket Bronco dash.

Trans temp gauge
I mounted a Perma-Cool remote transmission filter setup and installed an Autometer temp gauge into the mount for the filter.
I am working on making a custom dash for my 1984 xlt. I want my Temp gauge, oil pressure gauge in the dash! I am gonna put the Trans temp and the ammeter gauge in their too... thats a winter project.
