1995 Bronco

I have had this Bronco for 1 1/2 years, over the summer when it gets hot the vehicle just dies. Besides the engine stalling, I lose all electrical power. Nothing will work, not even the dome light. Does anyone have any suggestions. I replaced the battery and the cables like the dealer suggested but it still dies. Thanks to anyone who helps.

Not sure if you still need help, but thought ide give you my in put. I also have a 95 bronco but i have never had this problem. The only thing i can suggest is the obvious, alternator. If your alternator isnt working your battery will keep your truck running until it drains the battery totally. Not sure if your electrical will die when this happens but might. To check and see if it is your alt. all you need is a volt meter, when your truck is running the alternator should be charging your battery near 13 or 14 volts. If its not charging it than that might be your answer. Im not sure if this is the problem your having but it might be one more thing to cross off the list. Hope this helps.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 21-Aug-02 AT 09:57 AM (EST)]Rebelford has a good point. The alternator could cause that kind of a problem. If I were you I would get the entire electrical system tested!

I don't know how the 95's are set up, but on my 92 all distribution to the truck actually comes from the starter solenoid. you might check the post on that for corrosion/connection.
