Resistive coil feed wire

This must be a beat to death question but here goes.
On a 68 CS it has original wiring, what I need to know
is where this resistor is located or is it a special wire with
resistance thru its whole length?
For now I would like to shunt it vs pulling in a new wire
do to winter weather conditions at this time.

I was right behind you when you first posed the question, but the site went down, so that's why I was late with the info.
