I've been contaplateing putting stacks on my 85 250 x-cab longbed and was wondering if any of uall have done this. would like to see some pics so i could better decide if i think it would look good on my truck. its got full length 1 peice running boards with 10 chicken lights on each side and cablights on the roof i just thought the stacks would add to the bigrig look im after.
Ill be perfectly honest with you. I have seen alot around town and most people I talk to say they dont like them unless the truck is a dually. However, not knocking anyone who has them, just relaying what most people tell me.
Back when I was 16, I had an 82 f150 with a 302 in it. It had a flatbed and sat up like a 4x4 due to my cobbled up lifts. Anyways, bought a 6 inch stack from a semi and mounted that on the bed. That thing looked sweet everywhere I went and I always got comments about it. Some people were always funnin me about having a stack on a gasser. Thing smoked like a diesel though. It had a four barrel off a 460. When I got the four barrel's open that thing would smoke black so bad that I couldn't see what was in my rearview mirror. Ah that was a fun truck. Still have her...or parts or her.
