I have a set of 17'' alluminum crome plated rims off a Ford truck that I am guessing to be 2002 year but they will not quite fit my 1988 F-150 studs, Can i have them machined to fit or am I just wasting my time? They are a really nice set and I would like to use them if possible.
As someone mentioned, the newer ones are hub-centric, so they will never properly fit because the hub centers and locates the wheel and carries the weight, not like the lugnuts on the 1988 which carries the weight only on the lugnuts.
