Question on 4x4 auto-locking hubs

Hello, I'm looking for information on parts to rebuild the hubs for my 99' F350 4x4 Super Duty. I cannot seem to get parts from Ford, except for the whole assembly. I would even settle for used or aftermarket parts. I basically need the outer **** that is labeled auto or lock. I have already replaced the vacuum seals on the axle. I've also put on new pads and cut the rotors. Also, when in the 4x4 position at the dash, I can't seem to get vacuum at the hose that goes into the hub.

I never like to state the obvious so I don't insult anyone. But I had this problem when I lifted my truck. the vacuum lines liked to come undone. So I would definitely check to see if they are both hooked up on boths ends. Also. . . . does all your climate controls work? Could be the vacuum pump doesn't work or the canister or another line has a leak. Pump and canister are along the passenger fender. When the ignition is cycled. . . you should hear the pump come on.

Welcome to FTE John Diaz.

As far as I know you can only get the whole assembly. It sux, but that's the way it has been.
If you find a good source yourself we are all ears on where to get the parts.

Not to hijack this thread, but where an you get the braided steel vaccum lines? My truck wont go into 4x4 anymore. I know its a vaccum prob, because the air keeps going from where I set it to the defrost and back and forth as long as I have the switch in 4x4.
