ticking noise
My 99 F-250 with a V-10 makes a ticking/knocking sound at first start-up. It only seems to do this in the morning. It doesn't matter the temperature. I live in west Texas and it is usually fairly mild. It takes about 2-3 min. before it goes away. Does it take that long to get oil to the top of the motor? The oil pressure is good, it does'nt smoke and it has about 120k. It does'nt sound like bottem end rattle. Should I be concerned? I have only had this truck about 2mo. And do not know the history. This is also my first v-10.
