Thanks for all the info guys. I have 33's on my truck with the 5.0 and it needs more low end. This spring I plan on swapping out the 5.0 for a 5.8 and ditching the EFI, However I still would like more low end.
I'll keep my eyes open if I go to the junkyard but more than likely I'll just regear it. A few weeks ago I swaped my busted 8.8 out for a 9 inch rear, so the rear shouldent be that hard. I'm fairly mechanically inclined but I was just reluctant to try the regearing myself.
In that case should I go 4.11 or 4.56 gearing.
91 F150 5.0 33" tires Mazda 5spd. Not much highway use, I use it more for shorter trips and hauling and towing.
