The adjustment for the brake shoes is at the bottom where the shoes meet. It is a star wheel that can be turned up or down to tighten or loosen the shoes. Typically, if you look on the back side of the brakes, back where the brake line connects in to the brakes, there is a slot at the bottom, usually plugged with a rubber plug. This slot is for brake adjustment. The method for this is using a large flat screwdriver, fitting it through the slot, and prying the star wheel up or down, this way you dont have to disassemble the brakes to adjust them. For future referance, if you ever have a stubborn drum that wont come off, you can remove the rubber plug, pry the starwheel in a direction to loosen the shoes, and the drum will come right off, NEVER rip the drum off!!!
