and what's with everyone using their foglights 24/7? is that a new fad here? how many of you do this? i mean, yeah, i guess you see a LITTLE more directly on the road in front of you, but hmmm.... i donno.
and these offroad lights like kcs and stuff on people's bull/brushguards... ffs, turn em off on the public streets. i can't see already from all those new high intensity lights as is...
Well, with the chevys having day lights on if you notice about every one of them coming at you during the day have one burned out all the time.
I don't use my fogs at all. I turn them on every now and then just to see if they are ok.
I think the running day lights are totaly stupid. a waste of energy.

I used to use my fogs all the time, but now I only use them when the weather gets bad. They came in great the last 2 nights i had to work and drive home in the snow.
which is the same for me. we've had some bad whiteouts last weekend here, and the fogs helped some with seeing the road in front of me. all the time? not me...
When I was still driving my `92 Ranger, I drove with the headlights on constantly for safety/visibility reasons.
My F-150 has the AutoLamp feature which includes fog lights, that the old Ranger did not have. I now rarely touch the headlight switch, only to turn the fog lamps on when conditions dictate that they be on.
I have thought about adding daytime running lamps. I even have a website bookmarked that gives great details on how to do it with part numbers and photos.
Sounds like you have a sensor problem with your AutoLamps Gumby. Do you have stuff up on top of the dash? There is a sensor up there in the middle that if covered up will keep the lights on because it will think it is dark outside.
