Last night I was heading on my way home and one of the entrance ramps to take me South on Hwy 61. I was behind this guy in Chevy and he was doing about 40-45 at the end of the ramp and the speed limit is 65. The ramp is plenty long enough to get up to speed. So I went around him when I got on the highway I didn't put my foot into the floor, but my truck downshifted to 2nd with the motor screaming at about 4k. I get back over and he gives me the friggin high beams because I passed him. Then he gave me the high beams again about 3 miles down the highway after I got way ahead of him. Sorry had to vent since it seam that Chevy drivers think they can as slow as they want.
Well,
Maybey he was trying to tell you your birghts were on and you didnt notice? I try to let people know...after all you had been behind him. Believe me...dont take things so personally on the road....he probably doesnt care one way or another about the brand of truck youre driving honestly. He could have also just been a jerk that doesnt like getting passed...who knows...so why let it bother you?

(Not coming down on ya BTW)
I am personally under the impression that he was a handicapped driver and operating with hand controls that he didn't completely understand. He hit the high beams by accident thinking that it was the throttle. Do you have a loud exhaust skilife17? If so you may have hurt his ears when you went by. When he turned his high beams on the second time he may have been trying to tell you that he needed help. Did you go back to see if he was alright? I guess our major concern should be how are you doing through all of this? The trama must have devastated you. I think it may have had a very deep and permanent effect on you. If it happened the night before you posted this... I am very concerned...I hope this helps. Joe

A few weeks ago?
I guess what I was trying to say was..."Don't sweat the little things in life." I can't see people going from "0 to rage" in 0.3 seconds. To get upset over something so trivial...? If you already got around them...YOU WIN ! Let it go. I'll bet people really get mad when they get behind a slow throttled big truck huh? I guess I just have a different attitude for slow drivers because most of the time it really is me going down the road slow. 5 days out of 7 I am 65' long and between 40 and 55 tons in weight and 11' wide. I sure am glad I am a bit more in control of my emotions...And so are the people around me.

Nope don't think he was handicapped considering the fact his was lifted and had dual exhaust. My truck has the stock exhaust. Maybe he heard the engine noise a blue oval makes at 4k rpm's.

I am doing fine through all this I have completely forgot about that **** hole.
Not to change topics but last nite on my way home I had the luxury of my tailgate passing me. Not fun at all. Stupid me should have put it in 4wd way before the curve and the hill. I hit the hill and gave it a little gas so the TC unlocked and sent the back end sliding all over. It ok having fishtail but then the back end decided to take the lead. Stupid snow

3-rangers I am trying to develop your attitude. Thats the way we should all be.
The world would be a better place. I am getting better at it. Seems the older you get your patients gets longer. It doesn't pay to get upset over the little things, or for that matter all things. Everyone have a great day!
