shock reccomendations? 2002 explorer 110k

I think what he is saying is that the Gabrilles have overload springs so they are a bit different than your regular shock? There is a spring shop here is it a pretty easy thing for a shop to add a leaf spring? I appreciate everyones comments for helping me out. I just want to make sure i buy the right thing.
