Another thing to try is uninstall the wireless card and reinstall it.. Check to see if there are updated drivers first...
This is why I hate Wireless... I don't recommend it unless it is absolutley necessary..
Do you have a laptop? If you do try moving around with the wireless utility running to see where the best signal is..
Lastly I would try another router.. See if one of your neighbors will give you access to theirs to test for a couple days.. Remember to turn yours off.
If all else fails use a cable...

Looks like you are ready to test your computer on another wireless system. If it is a laptop take it on campus or any hot zone & see if you can connect. If it is a desktop, then it is time to meet the neighbors & hopefully they will let you onto their connection for a test run.
If you are looking for hot zones network stumbler is a nice one that finds more than my broadcom software does.
You have checked for spyware I hope.
