2003 daytime running lights

I know that they are a good idea but I want to turn off my daytime running lights. Does anyone out there know how to turn them off and be able to drive. I know on chevy's (uh nasty word) you can push in the parking brake but I don't know if that works nor do I want to have to have it slightly pushed in. Any help would greatly help.

On my brothers Chevy (2001 Crew Cab) if the button next to the switch is pressed 4 or 6 times, it will disable the daytime running lights. Now I don't know if there is something similar am Fords, but it is worth a try. Also, the lights reset (would automatically come back on) after the key was turned off, in other words, we had to disable them each time we got in the truck.

Try turning the light switch on and off several times, or something like that and maybe they will go off.

Just an idea, good luck...
