I just purchaed a f150 that hasn't been driven much in the past two years and I'm currently haivng troublem with the power windows. The windows you have to help up and down. I can hear both window motors. Sometimes I don't half to help the windows down then other times I do, but I always need tohelp the windows up. What could be the problems. I've tried taking the door panel off but didnt have any luck after taking off roughly 10 screws or so.
there are a couple of tough to find screws on door panel not sure how close 93 and 94 are but there are a couple of screws in the handle and storage areas that may be tough to see.
As for the root of the problem it is very common ailment. Although not that common to have both gone at the same time. You will have to replace a few (rubber?/plastic?) pieces that deteriorate with time. There are some very good threads if you search for power windows that will tell you how to replace. Bottom line is you likely don't need to replace the whole motor but you will have to drill out a couple of indentions in the door frame (the folks that have done it say its not too hard).
