F450?

I am in the market for the 2008 F450, my local dealer does not have any. At one time there was someone on this website that was able to sell out of state and I heard he worked some good deals. However for the life of me I cannot remember who it was.
Does anybody know?

Also, I don't need it tomorrow so I asked about ordering one and I was told they could not even order the 4x4 yet only the 4x2. If I ordered the 4x4 the order would sit around for about 4 weeks and then MAYBE it would get processed and it would be 6-8 weeks after that for the build. Has anyone else been told that? Has anyone else ordered one? And if so, how long did it take?

Unfortunately, both FTE dealers are no more. Van Bortel Ford and Suburban Ford dont do anything here anymore.

Did you drive it? $500 over invoice seems like a great deal from what I am finding.

I was offered a drive at another dealer but I declined as I wasn't going to purchase from them anyway. I purchased from a fleet guy for the last 23 years and he knows that when the vehicle arrives, I come down and write a check. Also, since they sell it right away they get the 3% holdback from Ford so they are really making about $2300 on the truck.

Yeah, that is the way I purchase also, so I am not real happy with my local guy right now.

I am trying to work out a deal with another fleet guy at a different dealer. We will see what he has to offer.

You have an 06, you should know, they are all expensive to insure especially when it is commercial insurance. Actually what is really funny is that my 06 F250 KR is less expensive to insure than the 2000 X. From what I am told it has to do with the number of passengers more than anything else.
